This Cancellation Policy explains how order cancellation requests are handled through the Karo application.
Karo operates as an intermediary platform that displays stores and their products, with a supervisory and organizational role over the platform. Karo does not sell products, handle delivery, or receive payments on behalf of stores. Purchase, payment, and dealings related to an order take place directly between the user and the store.
Order cancellation requests are handled primarily between the user and the store. Karo may provide a means to contact the store or submit a cancellation request through the platform. The decision to accept or refuse cancellation rests with the store, based on the order status, the store’s policy, and applicable laws.
If an order has already been prepared, shipped, or has otherwise become non-cancellable under the store’s policy, it may not be possible to cancel it.
If you face difficulty cancelling an order or a dispute with the store about cancellation, you may contact Karo. We will seek to assist you, communicate with the store, and attempt to resolve the issue as far as reasonably possible.
This does not mean that Karo guarantees acceptance of the cancellation or any refund, or that Karo automatically assumes financial or legal liability for the store’s decision, except where required by law.
If the store approves the cancellation and a paid amount is due to be returned, any refund is made by the store directly in accordance with the store’s applicable refund policy. Karo does not receive payments on behalf of stores and therefore cannot issue, process, or guarantee any refund on behalf of the store.
Karo is not a party to the sale and does not replace the store in responsibility for cancellation or refunds. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karo is not responsible for the store’s decision to accept or refuse a cancellation, while you retain the right to request Karo’s assistance as described above.
Karo may update this policy at any time. Any update takes effect once the revised version is published in the app or on the website. Continued use of Karo after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
